BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION: New Album To Be Mastered This Weekend
May 18, 2005BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION guitarist Tracii Guns has issued the following update on the mixing/mastering process for the group's sophomore album:
"Well, we are all up here at the finalization studio up in Sonoma County. Bringin' the recording around to all these farms and ranches just keeps pumpin' the mojo into the music. The album will be mastered over this coming weekend... Here is a link to some photos up at PrarieSun Studio where we have been for the past few days."
As previously reported, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION have set a September 6 tentative release date via Sanctuary Records their sophomore album, entitled "13 Acres".
The follow-up to last year's "Here Come the Brides", "13 Acres" was recorded in part at a studio in Malibu, California with producer Andy Johns, who has previously worked with guitarist Tracii Guns on the L.A. GUNS' "Waking the Dead" album (which Guns has referred to as "my favorite L.A. GUNS record."). Johns was reportedly involved with the album during its early recording stages but ended up leaving the project due to unspecified differences with Guns and the rest of the band.
"13 Acres" track listing (in no particular order):
01. White Trash
02. Dead Man's Ruin
03. Blown Away

05. Porcelain Queen
06. Never Say Never
07. White Horse
08. Lord of the Mind

Said Guns: "We cut 'So Long' and 'Tunnel of Love' from the record. 'Tunnel of Love' will be the Japanese bonus track and 'So Long' will be coming out later on something else we have planned for the distant future."
